By 11.00 am a goodly number of Hashers and their attendees had congregated on Hamishs Balcony drinking icy cold Champagne with the traditional Easter cake and  oodles of RED HARD BOILED EGGS. So within minutes the balcony was covered in egg shells.

As it was over 20 years since I last visited Athens non of the attendees were known to me = and whilst I was introduced to all the various names became a blank - other than the hosts HAMISH & SPANISH FLY - though I think I was introduced to someone called STRAWBERRY or was it RASPBERRY - I cannot remember - plus a smallish Greek lady called LEANOVER - who after a bottle or two of wine really acted her name.

So after copious Champagne off the pack went - approx 12 runners plus some walkers - a longish run with plenty of calling so made be remember the old days
Where we went have really no idea - it must have encompassed many parts of GLYFADA - but it had changed so much since I was last there did not recognise any thing.

Finally back to the flat for down downs in Champagne - very civilised
Then HAMISH produced the feast - LAMB, KOKORETSI and oodles of VEGGIES
The lamb evidently was from INVERCARGILL - about as far away from Athens as possible - but it sure was fabulous.

So in true hash form we all ate and ate washed down with both white and red wine. And sitting out on the balcony under a cloudless sky with a warm wind what more could any Hasher want.

Finally Cappuccinos for whoever wanted with TSIPOURA as an accompaniment.
So I sure enjoyed Hashing again with the AH3 - and trust it will not be as long as 20 years before returning.

As we say CHRISTOS ANESTI on that day.
