RUN NO 1676
DATE 17th Jan 2010
WHERE AFIDNES of
course
HARES RIM JOB & SHAMPOO GEORGE
SCRIBE ME RIM JOB
Twas a cold winters day up there in the northern hills above Athens
Anoraks were compulsory
Mt. GOAT reckoned in
all the decades he had run with the AH3 never had a run taken place near
AFIDNES
Considering the weather a goodly number came
But where was my co hare SHAMPOO
GEORGE ?? His excuse - taking a priest somewhere in his
car !!!!
Heavy rain clouds were all over the sky but our RA made sure none fell during
the run
And what a run REAR ENTRY was
heard muttering about the severity of the terrain
NAPOLEON compared it
to running at speed in the Central Massif
But on and up went the pack
BOUBILINA in charge
of the walkers made them follow the same trail as the runners
THIS completely confused CAFE CREPE who
in her fluent Algerian French belittled the hare for setting such a complex and
energetic run
SCRUBBER as usual was
desperate to return to the warmth of the cars = at least that is what she said
Meanwhile HAMISH & KUM KWIK made their
peace within the small but very elegent Church
And so endith the run and walk
FAIR COP took the
circle - needless to say awarded me 10 out of 10 for the excellence of both the
walk and run
Down downs were given to visitors
And then off down the hill to the Taverna
And what a Taverna - huge and full of 100s of locals and us
I ordered food and more food so all ate and ate and drank and drank as if no
tomorrow
WET DREAM started
getting most concerned at the possible cost of our mountains of food and drink
And then collapsed when the bill came 12 euro each !!!!
What a bargain
FUTURE HARES TAKE NOTE !!
Here endith my epistle
A good day by all
RIM JOB
