THE DIRECTIONS TO THIS HASH

A GENTLE RESTART TO H*SHING (After the summer break)

Date: Sunday 18 September – 11am

Run: 2168 – sort of…#

Hare: Fair Cop

Venue: Loutsa by the sea….

On Inn: Christina Taverna

MisDirections:

Yes, in recognition of the fact that few of us have done as much r*nning over the summer break as we perhaps intended, the hare will be laying a gentle “A-to-B” trail, guaranteed to proceed gently downhill for its entire length.

This act of sorcery will apply to both r*nners and wa*kers trails, both of which will, as usual in Loutsa, include breath taking scenery and pristine vistas, as well as a proper time for swimming, so:

BRING YOUR COZZIES!

Taverna will be the ever popular Christina, so go easy on breakfast!

THE DIRECTIONS TO THIS HASH

From Attiki Odos:

Exit 16 (Rafina). at the end of the motorway, turn right past Smart Park and Attica Zoo, head for Spata.

Turn left at the lights, up the hill, across the lights, the road swings to the right.

Pass AB on your right, then turn left at the lights.

Follow this road for several km, past the back gate of the airport, until you reach the roundabout on the outskirts of Loutsa.

(Go to “When you reach the roundabout”)

Avoiding Attiki Odos?

Coming out of Athens on Mesogeion, immediately after passing under the Attiki Odos at Stavros, take the right turn to Spata.

Follow the signage all the way into Spata, and turn left at the big MyMarket.

Pass Lidl on the right, and then cross the lights.

Over the hill, across another set of lights, and the road swings to the right.

Pass AB on your right, then turn left at the lights.

Follow this road for several km, past the back gate of the airport, until you reach the roundabout on the outskirts of Loutsa.

(Go to “When you reach the roundabout”)

From the South:

Get to the Airport, go past the turnings for arrivals and departures, and head for the exhibition centre and technical area.

Keep going past the speed bumps, past the sign that says “No access beyond this point”, and drive confidently out through the checkpoint. It will open.

At the traffic lights, turn right, and you are on the main road into Loutsa.

Stay on this road until you reach the roundabout on the outskirts of Loutsa.

When you reach the roundabout:

Take the road down the hill all the way to the sea. At the sea, turn right. Notice the revamped tavernas on the beach, and follow this road, past another MY MARKET and another couple of kilometres.

You are looking for the SHELL petrol station on your left.

From the petrol station, about 600m, a couple of bends, until you reach a few shops on your right. PASS THE BIKE SHOP and then turn next left straight after the bend, at the electrician’s shop onto PETROPOLEOS STREET.

Follow Hash signs (HHH) leading over the open ground to the meeting place.
