Either:
Go to Loutsa/Artemida (same place, two names) and turn right when you reach the sea. Continue for 6km, passing the shops, the garages, the beach, until the road turns suddenly right up the hill and you finally pass the big “DOLCE” hotel on your left. Just when you think you have gone too far (about 500m) there is a dirt track on the left, where the busses turn around. We meet in the car park at the end of this track.
OR:
Approach from Markopoulou, taking the Porto Rafti road and forking left to go through the countryside to Artemida. There is a 90° bend, and soon after that you reach the one real junction on this road, where you follow the main road left. After another 1km the road turns sharp left uphill. DON’T go up the hill. Go straight on, along the gravel track. We meet in the car park at the end of this track.
Comments:
We have checked the science, and the sea temperature should be ideal, so cozzies and towels for those who want to swim.
There will be a handcrafted runners’ trail and a scenic walkers’ route, taking in the beautiful coastline and the fresh sea air, but ignoring the litter and the aeroplane noise.
