1. Budget:
KIMON Hotel
See
description and some photos here:

Please note that not all rooms seem to have view to the Acropolis!
Address:
27 Apollonos st, 105 56, Athens, Attica prefecture, Greece
Phone: +30 210 331-4658 Fax: +30 210 321-4203
Owner/Manager: Mrs. Maria Armata
In
Jan. 2006 agreed with Mrs. Armata a special rate of 55 Euro per double room
(this could be repeated in future).
She does not accept credit cards but cash payments or throught the post. Bookings should be done quickly as this is a small hotel.
We had a look at the rooms, they are freshly renovated, spacious, private bath, air conditioning, telephone, television and very clean.
2. More up-market:
ATHOS Hotel

In Jan 2006 we agreed with the manager a special rate of 90 Euro incl. breakfast
per double room (this could be repeated in future).
Credit cards accepted.
We really liked that one, looks like very cosy, with all modern facilities, even internet access (if your plugs plug to the greek plugs - you can buy an adaptor at an electrical store).
On
the site with Athos hotel you may also find a little map showing the location
of the hotel. You will see that Apolonos street (Kimon hotel) is just a few
steps away. Both hotels are a distance of less than 100 meters from each
other and in the heart of the city center. Still we were impressed how
quiet the neighbourhood is - no noises at all! This is because they are little
side streets which have almost no traffic. There are many bars and restaurants
around as well as a big shopping area. Many interesting sites and all the
best, Athens has to show are reachable just in walking distance.

Very close to Thission Metro Station & near the historical & shopping
centre of Athens.
Area not too pretty, but hotel economical, clean & nice, etc.
